[2007] Supersilent - 8

Similar in vein to 7, less chaotic and with an emphasis in Helge Sten's electronic dabbling. Part of this session became part of what was later released as 11, the same free form drumming with Henriksen's slow and sultry trumpet can be heard here.

[2005] Supersilent - 7

Live DVD release (only audio provided), following the continuity of their previous releases but straying away (once again) from the sound of their preceding album (heavily relying in electronic elements) in order to showcase their wide experience in free improvisation, clocking at 1h48min of live show.

[1998] Supersilent - 4

Follow up of the 1-3 album which compiled 3 CD's into one (half live, half studio), 4 is an entirely studio album, single CD, which combines the free jazz output displayed on their first album with strong electronic elements and even vocalizations (by Henriksen), making it very different from their preceding release.

[2011] Miracle - Fluid Window

This is the debut EP of the new project between Daniel O'Sullivan (Guapo, Ulver, Mothlite) and Steve Moore (Zombi), which could be described as a heavy 80's psychedelic trip, drenched in a strong aura borrowed (but not directly addressed) from the 70's kosmische scene. The ethereal vocals present here are no surprise at all considering Mothlite's arrangements, but aside from the obvious pop style, there's still space for experimentation like in songs such as Wild Nights, relying mostly in strong sample layering. Catchy and sexy, just as many other bands and artists of that era, brought to 2011 as a reinterpretation rather than a revival intent.

[2007] Stephen O'Malley & Z'EV - Magistral

Revolving around some guitar samples recorded back in 2005, Stephen O'Malley and Z'EV created this album using percussion arrangements and sample manipulation over the same 8m42s guitar recording, making it sound completely different to what's expected from the artists involved. Closer to the rumbling, overbearing sonic landscape from KTL, this album is also one of the most "out there" releases ever made by Southern Lord.

[2010] Tangerine Dream - Zeitgeist Concert

The most prolific, well known German progressive electronic/ambient band Tangerine Dream comes back with yet another live album, from last year's performance in the Royal Albert Hall in London. 3 discs, in which they revise some of their acclaimed works in albums like Phaedra and Stratosfear, along with some more recent material. It all makes up for a great listening experience.

[2006] Tamás Kátai - Erika Szobája (Erika's Room)

The mastermind behind Thy Catafalque's only solo album so far, it's a less metal, more soft version of the latter, still retaining most of the atmosphere present in that project. Lot of samples perhaps following a story (which unfortunately goes above my head seeing as I don't know hungarian), and minimal synth arrangements reminiscent of kosmische in some aspects, make this album a very enjoyable listen.  Recommended for Thy Catafalque and ambient fans in general.
