The follow-up of
The Other Side of The Island (which can be found
here), this
David J Smith and
Daniel O'Sullivan project displays a very creative of his music that wasn't explored before on any of their other projects (
Mothlite and
Ginnungagap get close to it, though, both being
O'Sullivan works), in which field recordings and sound manipulation craft an evolving, earthly soundscape in the mind of the listener, never letting it drift away for too long and instead focus on the ever-evolving, shifting tectonic layers of sound. This album features his vocals, unlike the
Aurora Borealis release, but in change we get a shorter album length. In spite of that, this is another quality Utech release that deserves to be heard.
